Mr. Doug Backus

Mr. Backus is a dedicated educator with a passion for student success. With a background in middle school math teaching and coaching various sports, he brings 25 years of experience in guiding and mentoring students both in and out of the classroom. 

Now serving as Dean of Students, he focuses on fostering a positive school culture, promoting academic excellence, and supporting student well-being. 

A proud father of three Caesar Rodney High School graduates, Mr. Backus is deeply committed to the local community and the success of its youth.
